| Black Island is an American Plan and Housekeeping resort tucked away in the islands of Lake of the Woods, six miles north of Morson, Ontario. The island is 32 acres with hiking trails and a large sand beach. We have five cottages that will accommodate two to six comfortably. All the cottages are lakeside and have a wonderful view. Fish for Muskie, Northern Pike, Walleye, Crappie, and Bass. Some of the Lake's best fishing is right off our island! Hunt for Bear, Waterfowl, Grouse and Deer. | Our Ontario Wilderness Houseboat base is located at Gill's Morson Marina on Hanson Bay on pristine Lake of the Woods, Ontario. You'll be met by our friendly, courteous staff, who will help you load up, and will acquaint you with the equipment on board. A marine radio keeps you in touch with our base station, and in touch with the weather. We will spend time with you studying the detailed lake chart; suggesting celebrated fishing spots, and instructions on how to best secure your craft for the night. Protected bays and islands provide lots of calm waters and are excellent places to tie up for the evening. Once you've completed the orientation, you're the captain Cruising the Lake of the Woods!
